I will overwhelm 'serious boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua
The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-round match which will be shown live on the streaming platform.
Briton Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "break" his opponent as the pair confronted each other to build hype for the upcoming boxing match.
Former twice unified heavyweight champion Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge mismatch - at Miami arena on 19 December.
Boxer's Mentality
"I'm going to damage his features and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, stated.
"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I will seriously aim to injure him. That's my intention."
Respectful Interaction
Despite these statements, a calm Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally known for his dramatics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul rather attacked ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "not serious" after Ngannou declined a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, criticized British rival Tyson Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer stated.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Opponent
In spite of declaring he will punish Paul, Joshua declined to speak negatively about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he said.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.
He was defeated by Briton Fury in last year.
Financial Success
However, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of the sport's biggest financial successes, frequently receiving substantial paydays.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28-year-old forecast a knockout win in round four or five and stated he would stop the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly under discussion for 2026.
"It will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.
Physical Difference
As the two fighters participated in the customary confrontation, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it emphasized just how unlikely this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the bout is truly going ahead.
